Introduction
ThumbnailThumb (the "App") respects users' privacy and is committed to protecting personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in the App.
Important: The App does not collect users' personal information. All data processing, including editing, exporting, and AI background removal, is performed locally on your device. The only external communication initiated by the App itself is retrieving images for the asset library (see Section 4 below), and no content created by users is transmitted in this process (for crash reports sent by the OS, see Section 6 below).
1. Information We Collect
The App does not collect any of the following information:
- Personally identifiable information (such as names, email addresses, or street addresses)
- Location information
- Contact information
- Browsing history or App usage history
- Content created by users (including thumbnail images)
2. Where Data Is Stored
Project files created with the App (in .ttworkspace format) are stored only in local storage designated by the user. These files are never transmitted to external servers.
3. AI Background Removal
The App's AI background removal feature uses the Apple Vision Framework. All processing is performed locally on your device, and image data is never transmitted to external servers.
4. Asset Library Communications
The App's asset library retrieves image assets prepared by the developer over the Internet. Amazon CloudFront (Amazon Web Services) is used for this retrieval.
- The App transmits only the request specifying the image to be retrieved, together with the standard information the system attaches to such communications (such as a User-Agent containing the app name, app version, and OS version). Content created by users, file names, and editing details are never transmitted.
- Due to the nature of Internet communications, Amazon Web Services receives the user's IP address and general connection information. The developer does not use this information to identify or track users.
- Retrieved images are cached on the device and may be displayed subsequently without further communication.
- This communication does not occur unless the asset library is used. The editing features remain fully available even if the asset library is unavailable.
- The developer does not collect access logs from the delivery servers. If we begin collecting them, this policy will be updated.
5. Third-Party Services
The App may use the following third-party services:
- Apple App Store: App distribution and purchase processing. Apple's Privacy Policy applies.
- Amazon Web Services (Amazon CloudFront): Delivery of images for the asset library, as described in Section 4 above.
The App does not use any third-party services other than those listed above, such as analytics tools or advertising networks.
6. Crash Reports
The App does not have its own crash reporting feature. However, if Apple's standard crash reporting feature is enabled, crash information may be transmitted to Apple. This can be controlled in the macOS system settings.
7. Children's Privacy
The App does not intentionally collect personal information from children under the age of 13. Because the App does not collect personal information, it can be used safely regardless of age.
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated as necessary. Any material changes will be announced on this page. We recommend that you review this page periodically.
